2006 Study of Needlestick Injuries and Safety Devices

An Independent Study Sponsored by Inviro Medical

The 2006 Study of Needlestick Injuries and Safety Devices seeks to understand how U.S. nurses and directors of infection control (DICs) feel about safety syringes and the concern over needlestick injuries. The independent study sponsored by Inviro Medical reveals a staggering number of nurses nationwide have been stuck by a contaminated needle.  In addition, more than 96% of nurses and DICs believe current safety syringe designs need improving.

Conducted in May 2006, the study is based on an online, nationwide survey of 147 U.S.directors of infection control and 188 U.S. nurses. The survey's margin of error is plus or minus 5%.  The research was conducted by Arketi Group.
