Inviro Medical Devices Expands Management Team with New Vice President of Clinical Affairs
Healthcare Industry Veteran Jean McDowell Will Act as Liaison Between Clinicians and Sales Team
ATLANTA – April 23, 2007 – Inviro Medical Devices,
which engineers and markets industry-leading infection control
products, including the patented InviroSNAP!® Safety Syringe, recently
expanded its management team by hiring Jean McDowell as the company’s
first Vice President of Clinical Affairs. McDowell, who has an
extensive background in the healthcare industry, will work closely with
Inviro’s sales force to provide clinical field support, as well as
develop educational programs and conduct product comparisons. She also
will build the company’s medical advisory board, comprised of
healthcare industry leaders who will guide further expansion of
Inviro’s innovative product line.
Prior to joining Inviro,
McDowell worked as a nurse in pediatrics and oncology at respected
institutions, including the National Institutes of Health, Georgetown
University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she coordinated
the clinical research program. She most recently worked as a consultant
to the pharmaceutical industry, involved with phase I through IV trials
of medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
“I want to be
part of a team that can truly offer a benefit to patients and
healthcare industry workers,” says McDowell. “I am most impressed with
the safety syringe platform that Inviro Medical has established, as
well as its people and their passion for what they do.”
“Jean
McDowell adds more depth and healthcare industry expertise to our
management team,” says Gareth Clarke, chief executive officer of Inviro
Medical Devices. “Her hands-on patient experience and success with
development of medical devices will be invaluable as she helps educate
clinicians and others about Inviro’s safe medication delivery systems.”
