Inviro Medical Devices Highlighted the Benefits of the InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe and Its Allergy Syringe Trays at 2009 AAAAI Conference

Company Demonstrated Its Innovative Products for Allergists and Immunologists and Highlighted Needlestick Prevention

ATLANTA – April 8, 2009 – Inviro Medical Devices (www.inviromedical.com), a leading safety syringe company, recently exhibited its flagship product, the InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe, as well as its allergy syringe trays at the annual American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) March 13 – 17, 2009 in Washington, D.C. Product samples and demonstrations on needlestick prevention and protection for healthcare workers were a focal point at the Inviro Medical Devices booth during the five-day event.

At this year's AAAAI meeting, Inviro featured its allergy tray product, which is comprised of 25 InviroSNAP! Safety Syringes in a single package. The InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe is available in two forms: with a standard needle for injections and with an intradermal bevel needle that can be used for allergy testing. Because the trays hold a large number of syringes, they use less packaging meaning fewer waste materials.

"With our attendance at the annual AAAAI conference, we hope to convey the message that all healthcare workers need to be concerned about proper protection from accidental needlesticks," said Mark Stoppenbach, Senior Vice President of Sales for Inviro Medical Devices. "Though most hospitals and clinics have a low rate of incidents, the risk still exists and precautions need to be in place to prevent the spread of disease. Due to its unique functionality, our allergy syringe gives healthcare workers the ability to retract the used needle into the barrel and eliminate risk of contact."

As the risks of injection with a needlestick pose the most danger to healthcare workers and not to patients, protection from accidental needlesticks is vital. Because disease contraction is a possibility, workers must protect themselves from exposure to contaminated needles. The InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe, which was invented by a nurse, employs a revolutionary design that enhances infection control and reduces the risk of needlestick injuries. The needle is manually retracted safely and securely into the barrel of the allergy syringe on completion of the injection or allergy test.
