Alliance Members Have Access to Infection Control Company’s
Innovative Safety Syringes
ATLANTA – February 11, 2008 – Inviro Medical Devices announces a new agreement with Yankee Alliance, making available the infection control company’s extensive portfolio of InviroSNAP!® Safety Syringe products to the network’s more than 50 acute care hospitals located primarily in New England and New York, as well as thousands of alternate sites across the country.
Yankee Alliance, through its association with Premier, enables their member healthcare organizations to aggregate purchasing volume to secure improved pricing. Inviro Medical Devices was awarded a three-year contract in October 2007 with Premier Purchasing Partners, the largest U.S. healthcare purchasing network.

The label helps institutions address The Joint Commission recommendations regarding medication labeling to reduce medication errors.

Introduced in 2006, InviroSNAP! Safety Syringes feature a distinctive manually retractable design unlike any other product on the market. With hand and fingers safely positioned behind the needle, the clinician administers the dose, pulls the plunger back – causing the needle to retract inside the barrel – and snaps off the plunger, permanently disabling the device. The InviroSTRIPE feature was added to the product line during 2007.
