The Inviro EZ Wing – a Needleless Device for Improved IV Access
Many healthcare workers identify needlestick injuries as a huge obstacle in physician and nurse safety. The integration of a needleless device into a clinic, hospital, or other healthcare site has shown to decrease the number of on-the-job injuries significantly, meaning less exposure to potentially harmful fluids and toxins. Needle-free IV access devices are also proven to be more cost-effective as the reports of needlestick incidents are shown to decrease over time.
In addition to the exchangeable needle capability, the Inviro Safety System is complete with needleless access devices for continuous and intermittent IV therapy with split septum and needle-free connector IV sites. The foundation of Inviro’s needle-free IV access system is the Inviro EZ Wing Plastic Cannula, which fits all pre-pierced split septum ports and needle-free IV connectors.

How the Needle-Free IV Access Device Works
The Inviro EZ Wing needleless device can be used in conjunction with the Inviro Luer Lock Syringe with InviroSTRIPE or a standard Luer Lock syringe to access the split septum or needlefree connector IV injection site. After medication is drawn up in the blunt plastic cannula, the EZ Wing (with Luer Lock syringe attached) is either inserted into the center of the split septum IV injection site or connected into a needle-free connector IV injection site.
The Inviro EZ Wing Vial Access Plastic Cannula can be purchased separately or pre-attached to the Inviro Luer Lock Syringe (a standard syringe). Together, these products provide a unique response to the ever-evolving needle-free medical technology as well as a safe alternative for vial access of medication (or reconstitution of medication) and the delivery of medication into split septum or needlefree connector IV injection systems.
