Instructions for Use – Exchangeable Needle Using InviroLINK>> EZ Wing for Medication Withdrawal

InviroSNAP! with InviroSTRIPE Retractable Luer Lock Safety Syringe (InviroSNAP! LL Safety Syringe) is to be used in combination with InviroLINK>> EZ Wing Vial Access Plastic Cannula (InviroLINK>>) for draw up of medication and InviroSNAP! Exchangeable Needle for patient injection.
- Peel package as indicated to allow proper removal of InviroSNAP! LL Safety Syringe.
- Peel package as indicated to allow proper removal of InviroLINK>>. Attach InviroLINK>> onto the InviroSNAP! LL Safety Syringe and remove cap.
- Prepare vial for medication draw up.
- Penetrate center of vial with InviroLINK>> ensuring not to push plunger past the first gradation mark. (See Figure 1).
- Draw up medication per facility protocol.
- Remove InviroLINK>> and dispose of per facility protocol. (See Figure 2).
- Peel package as indicated to allow proper removal of InviroSNAP! Exchangeable Needle.
- Prepare injection site.
- Firmly attach needle onto the InviroSNAP! LL Safety Syringe with a push and a clockwise twist, remove needle cap and administer medication per facility protocol.
- To engage the safety mechanism, depress the plunger FULLY to enable retraction of the needle. (See Figure 3).
- Pull back on plunger until it clicks, activating the locking mechanism: observe withdrawal of needle into barrel.
- Snap! off plunger to permanently disable syringe. (See Figure 4).
- Discard immediately in sharps container per facility protocol.

Caution
This device is sterile unless the package has been damaged or opened.
If unable to activate safety mechanism, discard syringe immediately into an approved sharps container.
This device is a single use item only.
InviroLINK>> is designed for penetration into vials and split septum IV injection sites only, not for patient injection.
Maximum needle length cannot exceed 1 1 /2" or 38.1mm.

Note: InviroSTRIPE, the integral write-on Stripe, allows you to annotate information directly onto the syringe barrel with an ink cure time of 30 seconds.
