Usage Guidelines for an InviroSNAP! Exchangeable Needle Injection

Preparation for Dosing

• Clean medication vial.
• Peel package to allow removal of InviroSNAP! Luer Lock Safety Syringe with InviroLINK>> EZ Wing Attached.
• Remove cap. Be careful not to touch the tip of the cannula.
• Draw the medication and expel the air bubbles using standard clinical technique. Do not push the plunger past the first gradation mark.

Exchange Needle

• Peel package to allow removal of InviroSNAP! Luer Lock Needle. Leave the protective cap on the needle.
• Remove plastic cannula from end of filled syringe.
• Firmly attach InviroSNAP! Luer Lock Needle onto the InviroSNAP! Luer Lock Safety Syringe with a push and clockwise twist.

Dose Administration

• Prepare injection site and administer dose using standard technique.
• Depress plunger fully.
• Needle cannot be retracted if plunger is not fully depressed.

Instructions for Disabling

PUSH Depress plunger to fully engage safety mechanism to enable retraction on needle.	PULL Pull back on plunger until it stops; observe withdrawl of needle into the barrel.	SNAP! Snap off plunger to permanently disable syringe.

Syringe Disposal

Discard the used InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe per protocol in an appropriate safety disposal container.  This device is sterile unless the package has been damaged or opened. This is a single use item only.
